ChargeSini and Charge+ will have a combined network of 4,000 charging points by end of 2024
Both the Singapore and Malaysian governments have identified the EV sector as a key growth area and have rolled out pro-EV policies to encourage the uptake of EVs.
This roaming partnership between Charge+ and ChargeSini will enhance the convenience of cross-border EV charging and increase the confidence of EV drivers in long-distance driving.
The agreement was signed in Singapore by ChargeSini’s founder and CEO James Goh and Charge+ CEO Goh Chee Kiong.
Similarly, Singaporean EV users travelling into Malaysia can access ChargeSini’s EV charging points via the Charge+ app.
“I am elated that users from both sides can now easily access any of our chargers through our existing apps,” expressed ChargeSini’s James Goh who founded the Malaysian EV charging solutions firm in early 2022.
Echoing that was his Singaporean counterpart from Charge+ who adds “this roaming initiative will dispel the perception that EVs are not suitable for long-distance and cross-border travel.”
