ChargeSini Signs Research MoU With MMU

In yet another bold move, ChargeSini inked another strategic collaborative Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

This time, ChargeSini elected to team up with one of Malaysia’s leading higher learning institutions called Multimedia University – better known as MMU. Said agreement was signed recently by ChargeSini’s founder CEO James Goh and President of MMU Prof. Datuk Dr Mazliham Mohd Su’ud.

Together, both ChargeSini and MMU have agreed to pursue a groundbreaking PhD research project titled: “Artificial Intelligent Electrical Network Analysis and Control for Deployment of Electric Vehicle Charging Stations.”

This collaboration highlights the significant role that both higher learning institutions and key players in the private sector play, both towards advancing technological innovation and promoting sustainable energy practices.

Both ChargeSini and MMU ratified four key pillars that will drive this research. First is the development of an innovative AI Control System, followed by creating enhanced user experiences, achieving sustainability goals aligned with the Malaysia Net-Zero Emissions 2050 pledge, as well setting new standards for academic-industry partnership.

Together, both parties seek to develop an innovative AI algorithm that promises to revolutionise current EV charging control methods (i.e. round robin or equal load-sharing) by adopting a demand-based approach instead. The system will analyse user preferences and daily usage patterns to optimise charging capacity without overloading existing electrical network.

Aptly, this AI algorithm seeks to resolve issues stemming from the recent surge in EV adoption across both residential and commercial spaces. One key threat borne from this is the risk of electrical infrastructures in many condominiums and similar facilities being overloaded, which in turn could disrupt both power and user experiences.

“This collaboration not only enhances the practical application of our cutting-edge research but also supports Malaysia’s commitment to a sustainable future. Through this joint effort, we are confident in delivering robust solutions that drive the growth of the EV charging ecosystem and contribute significantly to the nation’s environmental goals,” notes Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham.

Echoing the same sentiment, ChargeSini’s Goh adds “we are confident in delivering robust solutions that drive the growth of the EV charging ecosystem and contribute significantly to the nation’s environmental goals.” Goh also emphasised on ChargeSini’s dedication towards continuously enhancing its infrastructure to meet evolving user demands.
